Exploring History Together: Our Trip to the David Livingstone Birthplace Museum on 14th August 2025

Old mill building and riverbank at the David Livingstone Centre, partially hidden among trees beside the river Clyde.

On a slightly dull and drizzly August morning, our group set off from Dunfermline for the David Livingstone Birthplace Museum —a place rich with history, storytelling, and quiet reflection. Nestled among trees and gardens, the centre offered us a chance to walk in the footsteps of one of Scotland’s most renowned explorers, while enjoying each other’s company and the simple joy of shared discovery.
