On at Fife Collections Centre

The Art Appreciation Group on 21st March 2024 visited the On at Fife Collections Centre in Glenrothes which is home to over 250,000 objects and documents from the Museums and Archives Collection.

From bicycles and art works to record players and school registers, the Collections Centre holds a treasure trove of items. A good number of our group found it very interesting and surprised to see such a selection of items. One of the exhibits mentioned and shown was one of the very large ‘Singing Kettles’ kettle. It was being stored until required for a museum or exhibition. The tour lasted about an hour we all agreed that it was a fantastic afternoon which we must repeat.

The afternoon then continued onto the Robertson's Art Café, also very enjoyable.
