2nd Wednesday of the month

Walks take place normally on the second Wednesday of the month. They are usually approx. 6 miles in length. Please bring a packed lunch unless otherwise advised.

TRANSPORT - Various members use cars and are prepared to help with transport where needed - passengers contribute to petrol costs - the guide is £1.50 per walk for lifts over short distances (say up to 15 miles to a walk start) and £3 per walk further away. Contact the group leader if you need help with transport to a walk.

HEALTH AND SAFETY - please ensure that you have suitable footwear and clothing for the walks.

WEATHER - in the event of a very poor forecast the group leader will consult with the walk leader before making any decision to cancel. Should you be uncertain whether a walk is to take place, do telephone the group leader to check.

Sometimes a post code is not good enough to identify the starting point for a walk and a what3words link will be given.

Please contact the Group Leader by the Monday before to confirm if you intend to come on the walk. A WhatsApp Group is also used to co-ordinate information for the walks.

Walks 2024/5 were Tayport-Newport, Almondell, Markinch, Callander House, Buffalo Farm, Blairhall, Crossgates, Elie, Gartmorn Dam, Cameron Bridge-Leven and Pittenweem-Anstruther.
